Chapter President

Email: nshaikh1@sfsu.edu

Hello! My name is Nuzhat Shaikh, and I am the current President of the TBP Honor Society at SFSU. I am a fourth-year Mechanical and Civil Engineering major, set to graduate in Spring 2025. I plan to pursue my master's degree in Civil Engineering in Fall 2025.
I have a deep love for reading—especially when I get my hands on a really good book. If it's captivating, I won't be able to put it down until I've finished it. It's an intense kind of love!

I also helped paint a mural inspired by my art in my school.
I am excited to support this chapter and work toward reviving it at SFSU to assist and inspire the next generation of Engineering students.
Let's make it happen!

Leonard Chau

Chapter Vice President

My name is Leonard! I am a mechanical engineering major in my junior year at SFSU. I am a student assistant at SFSU's engineering machine shop and stockroom, and am a part of various research labs. I am hands-on and love to tinker, solve problems, and make things. I have a bunch of oddball hobbies, most notably unicycling and typewriter collecting, repair, and restoration. Naturally, I incorporate my passion for engineering in nearly all personal projects and aspects of my life.

Chapter Treasurer

Denise Steffen is a Scholar’s Civil Engineering student specializing in Structural Engineering, and she’s excited to begin her graduate studies in Fall 2025. She’s passionate about resilient design and sustainability, especially in green infrastructure. When she's not buried in seismic analysis or helping other students succeed, you can find her lifting weights at 5AM or in her research lab doing hand calculations and comparing them with ETABS results.
